Green light for 172 Persimmon Oxfordshire homes

Persimmon Homes Wessex has secured planning permission for 172 homes in Didcot, Oxfordshire.

These form the latest phase of the housebuilder’s Valley Park development and will include 61 homes to be reserved for a local housing association.

Construction on Phase 3A and 3B of Valley Park will commence in a few weeks with the first occupations expected for later this year.

Once complete, Valley Park will provide 4,254 homes, two primary schools, a SEN school, local centres, and sports facilities.

“Valley Park has been a great success story so far and we are making swift progress on delivering on our commitment to bring new housing and infrastructure to Didcot,” said Seb Spiller, managing director at Persimmon Homes Wessex.

“Therefore, securing another reserved matters consent was an early Christmas present that gave local contractors and residents confidence that the progress on expanding Didcot in a sustainable and advantageous way will continue.”
